The inclusion of Rathma as an integral part of Diablo 4's story is certainly a welcome way to further expand on the lore of the beloved action-RPG series. Tchort, Herald of Lilith, is the boss that protects Death Harnessed Theories of Rathma. Hopefully, as fans patiently await the release of Diablo 4, Blizzard will give us more insight to what the story behind Diablo 4 will be so that we can answer this question and many more as the cinematic requires tons of knowledge of the lore of the Diablo universe. Of course, this brings into question that if Rathma is indeed the man depicted in the cinematic, why would he summon Lilith if he belives she will disrupt the balance of good and evil? Rathma's main drive is to preserve the balance of good and evil, which conflicts with the intentions of both his mother and father. Lilith, the succubi Queen, created the fore-bearers of humanity, known as Nephalem, with Rathma being a part of the first generation. In the cinematic, the man also calls Lilith "mother", further proving the theory. Rathma would eventually fade from prominence as the race of humanity had their memories wiped at the conclusion of the Sin War to allow them to live in peace without knowledge of angels or demons both of whom would ignore this point and continue to meddle with Sanctuary. Rathma, the progenitor of the Priests of Rathma Necromancers and the son of Lilith, had previously been described as being tall and having white pale skin and typically covering his hair with a hood.
